KUNG FU BIRTHDAY

An appropriate donation is made in honor of Jeff's birthday to the Cornwall PEZ museum of KUNG FU PANDA series. Mom, Dad, the girls and Jeffrey all went to see the movie on Jeff's recent visit to 336.

PEZ WATCH - 7/08

This is a fun new pair
but they are a European release only. They are available on e-bay but with the movie being such a hit I would expect WALL-E & EVE to be in the US eventually. ( We don't want to do another SHREK.)

PEZ WATCH - 6/08

Two new NASCAR PEZ are just released.
DALE EARNHARDT JR. & CARL EDWARDS

DALE EARNHARDT was just released last year (on a red stem - see post of July 3, 2007). But that wiley Dale soon changed sponsorship to the 'National Guard' and 'Hendricks Motorsports' which are now printed on his black with special silver visor helmet.
CARL EDWARDS is new for 2008 - black stem, 'Office Depot' on the helmet.
After we got the Dale Earnhardt and Jimmie Johnson 2007 releases on Ebay they were seen and could have been obtained retail at Walmart. So keep your eyes out .

PEZ WATCH - 5/08

The new PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN set is supposed to out now.
Keep your land-lubber eyes pealed maties.
And remember to keep on the look-out for BRUCE THE PIXAR SHARK and FAIRIES . They should have been out for a couple of months.

JUNE BIRTHDAY GIFTS

In honor of the June Birthday couple, Jason and Stefanie, a donation of 3 Limited Edition PSYCHEDELIC EYEs have been made. These are a 'retro' edition of an old series. There are dozens of combinations of colors produced.

In honor of sweet Marybeth's birthday a new DOGS & CATS keychain series is donated to the Cornwall PEZ museum.

This is a rare set. We have not seen it promoted anywhere nor seen a single character on ebay. We just came across it at Cost Plus store a few weeks ago. You may notice that the characters are mini versions of the PEZ Furry Friends series of Dogs and Cats already in the collection.

TAKE ME OUT TO THE PEZ GAME...

What do you think family? This year PEZ has started a MAJOR LEAGE BASEBALL Series.

We do currently have a generic baseball - see below.

So we have a BASEBALL PEZ in the collection. Do we want/need these first 11 of a series which could possibly grow to include all 30 MLB teams? It's really just a lot of the same PEZ with a different printed logo. Or shall we just get LA and Boston?

RACE TO A HAPPY BIRTHDAY

Every 16 year old hopes for a new car on their birthday. So as not to disappoint our last 16 year old from 336, Sarah gets a new spezcial edition Daytona 500 race car.
This car will join the other Nascar racers in the pull-n-go series. It is a companion to the Daytona 500 helmet and hauler recently added to the collection (see Robbie's birthday).
One of the funnest things is to find a PEZ that you never knew existed. We have never seen this in any collection, on e-bay or anywhere before we walked into the Duarte Wal-mart and there it was... the only one in the whole display of dozens of cars.

ELIZABETH IS #1

On behalf of Elizabeth's special No. 1 Birthday the DISNEY PRINCESS SET is donated to the CORNWALL PEZ MUSEUM. This will certainly be a treasured part of the collection. Now MULAN and POCAHANTAS join the other top line Disney Stars. Happy Birthday Miss Elizabeth

DUCKY, DYNAMIC DALLIN

In honor of Dallin's birthday a donation in made on his behalf to the Cornwall PEZ Museum of the following:
DONALD DUCK - This is a new version of Donald to go with the current Mickey Mouse series. The most significant change is in Donald's small bulb of a hat.
BATMAN W/ POINTED EARS - This is a rare variation of the "big head" Batman . The sharp thin ears seemed a bit hazardous so a rounded, thicker ear was produced for general release of the senior-member-of-the-dynamic-duo. This batman joins his other likenesses in the Super Hero family.

PEZ WATCH - 4/08

BRUCE the shark ... from Finding Nemo... is a brand new issue to be part of the BEST OF PIXAR series. Keep on the look out. Being a single - it will be easy to miss.

PEZ WATCH - 3/08

Watch out for the first of this FARIES new series. Other than Tinkerbell the others are somewhat unknowns.

It wouldn't be a complete birthday for Robbie without some fun PEZ.
These complete the NASCAR set and the FOOTBALL set.

EASTER PEZ 2008

5 new pez joined the Cornwall collection
from this year's Easter Baskets.

The one on the right is new 2008 Easter Lamb. This replaces the lamb on the left as part of the current Easter set which continues with the same-old Rabbit, Pink Bunny and Fat Chick of the last few years.

FOUR Easter Chicks joined the collection: left to right...

1) Collector colored Crystal Convention Fat Chick

2) & 4) Scalloped edge shell Chick with Red Hat and thin feet. (Note the difference with the somewhat newer chicks - behind - with saw-tooth edged shell.)
3) Yellow stem, no feet Chick with Red Hat. This is a much older chick and rare with the yellow stem. (Note: It is not the oldest chick. The oldest has no hat.)

PEZ WATCH - 2/08

Look for a new KUNG FU PANDA series. The characters are based on the upcoming Dreamworks film: Po (voice of Jack Black) - is a lowly noodlemaker/waiter who is a kung fu fanatic but the laziest of all the animals in ancient China. MASTER MONKEY (voice of Jackie Chan) - the joker of the bunch. MASTER TIGRESS (voice of Angelina Jolie) - the brave, strong, no nonsense fighter and SHIFU (voice of Dustin Hoffman) - the master teacher. A prophecy has named Po as the "Chosen One" . With the help of 5 of the greatest warriors the world has ever known it is up to Po to save the valley from Tai Lung, who has recently escaped from prison.

Interesting Note - Shen Lung Kung Fu uses animals as a base for the whole system and disciples of the main master are animal stances or styles commonly used in the art of kung fu - Tiger, Monkey, Snake, Crane and Mantis. These "characters" are the warriors in the movie

Dad's birthday added the Mickey Mouse collectors tin to the collection. These are unique PEZ with full figure Mickeys from his different eras.

PEZ WATCH - 1/08

Word is that these 3 new 80th ANNIVERSARY MICKEY MOUSE PEZ are out

2008 REVEALED

Here is a preview of anticipated 2008 releases. Looks fun (except for the Pirates of the Carri bean... I am not sure I like the "real life" figures being put out in the past year.)

There will also be a couple more college footballs this year - Virginia Tech and North Carolina - ughhh! no BYU yet. I guess this will be an almost infinite set... Like the pro-baseball set, (see above) which I am not sure the Cornwall Museum collectors will pursue. We have a baseball and a baseball is a baseball.

2007 COMPLETE

As of today - when I got the final 2007 NASCAR helmet (on e-bay for 99 cents - Yeah!) I think we have added to the Cornwall Collection every 2007 issue.... I know of. I have been trying to get that last helmet for months. In fact I got one on e-bay a few weeks ago but the guy forgot to mail it to me and then ran out. (col)

PEZ PUZZLE

This is one of those games where you try and find all the differences between two illustrations that, at first glance appear to be the same. How many differences are there in the characters in the top picture...the original Cornwall Pez Museum DISNEY SET, and the bottom picture... as set which, I just found out was supposed to be out last year.

This is also a PEZ WATCH for this new Mickey set. They look kinda like the EXTREME DISNEY set without the extreme expressions and accessories.

PEZ WATCH

For Valentines 2008 PEZ is issuing new CRYSTAL HEARTS - RED & PINK. The Crystal Hearts will have the same 13 sayings as past years.

I found this new picture today (1/19) that is kinda fun because it shows all 26 new ones.

Below is the list of Valentine Hearts in the current CORNWALL collection. What we are looking to add is 1 Red Crystal Heart and 1 Pink Crystal Heart with one of the five sayings (at the bottom of the list) that we do NOT already have.

Currently in the Cornwall Valentine Family.

The lucky 18 year old got the BEE MOVIE set.

PEZ WATCH

Keep your Nascar eyes peeled for a new DAYTONA 500 issue. We need the individual and the kit with the companion hauler truck.

And don't forget, we still have not found the two that came out last summer - JIMMY JOHNSON and DALE EARNHARDT JR.

This one should be easier to find out Christmas shopping. The ARCTIC BABY REINDEER joins the ARCTIC BABY series which came out last Christmas. The reindeer will join the POLAR BEAR, SEAL, and PENGUIN.
(Hint - Last year Mom found them at Wal-mart)

A PEZ BREW

In honor of Miss Paisley Cornwall's birthday number 2 she gets 2 PEZ. Number 1 was sent to her in wrapping paper (with a load of PEZ candy to dispense). She can share about that if she wants to.

Number 2 PEZ is a CLEAR CRYSTAL WITCH "C" - donated to the Cornwall PEZ Museum in Honor of Paisley's 2nd birthday.

The Clear Crystal Witch joins her Witch "C" sisters, Yellow Face, standard Green Face, Glow-in-the-dark, and Black Face

She also joins her CLEAR CRYSTAL cousins, the SLIMY, HAPPY & SPOOKY GHOSTS, SKULL "B" and PUMPKIN "C".

ANY ONE FIND ANY NEW PEZ LATELY????

Yummy PEZ

The other day Mom and Dad were walking through Toys-R-Us (looking for Halloween accessories) and Dad mentioned he was surprised that no one had found the new Mulan & Pocahontas PEZ as they should have been out for some time. Mom suggested, "Why don't you look on that forum that told us where we could find the Easter PEZ last spring?" So today I logged in and this is the first entry that came up stating where this collector had finally found them.

I posted it for a SWEET memory for all of us New England travelers last December.
p.s. Many other entries said that these Disney Princesses had finally hit the Wal Mart in their town. None noted any much west of the Mississippi.

In another forum chain dozens mentioned BEE MOVIE PEZ in Wal Mart all across the country. So Keep a look out.

BOO! FOR HALLOWEEN

The new additions to the Cornwall PEZ Museum HALLOWEEN section are 1) MR. UGLY - This is part of an old Halloween set first issued in about 1970. 2) BLUE CRYSTAL PUMPKIN - This is a special limited release earlier this year (from CCC).

They look good as part of our HALLOWEEN family don't they?

Also joining the HALLOWEEN family is CLEAR CRYSTAL SKULL with jewel eyes.
He joins his brothers - the SKULL; the GLOW-IN-THE-DARK SKULL and "DIABLO"/BLACK HEAD SKULL.
Oh yeah, will these boys have fun on Halloween night!

NEW/OLD MICKEY

I have bid on this unique Mickey set recently. I haven't been too aggressive. They appear to be a NEW set to commemorate 80 years. They are probably from Europe and a few e-bay sellers are offering them quite regularly. I will keep you posted.
